THE MAKING OF “THE LONG HAUL”
Our journey with Starsky Robotics began in 2017 when we were invited to tell the story of a rag-tag group of engineers, truck drivers and developers determined to change the shipping industry forever.
Their mission was simple; use robotics to revolutionize truck driving by bringing about efficient and safe “remote-driven trucks” that wouldn’t put truck drivers out of work. When we arrived in Florida in 2017 on the eve of their first unmanned robotic truck test, we witnessed something incredible.
Our crew was sitting in the cab, motoring at 55mph down the highway, when the driver slowly took his hands off the wheel, stepped from the driver’s seat and 50 miles away, a remote-operator took control of the vehicle.

THE MAKING OF “ENDLESS ROADS”
One year after the incredible receipt of “The Long Haul”, we set out to accomplish an even more ambitious creative challenge — making use of a variety of footage, both archival and original, to produce the firm’s first recruitment tool aimed to bring truck drivers into Starsky’s remote-driver education program.
In the same year, we returned to Florida again with Starsky where, just outside Tampa, the team would attempt to set a world speed-record for unmanned vehicles — 55mph on a public freeway. By the end of 2018, they claimed the record.
